Experience a Unique Stay

The Hotel

Modern yet cozy, simple yet stunning, the sublime design and décor of Adama relaxes the senses as soon as you step into the property. Minimalistic finesse, island colors that combine both Cycladic and Scandinavian elements, and an overall feel-good ambiance await all who visit. Hiding behind the soothing minimalism is a great amount of detail, from handcrafted furniture to works by local artisans, creating an idyllic vacation space that could easily be described as bohemian bourgeois. The building juxtaposes light, shadow and space in aesthetically pleasing combinations that catch the eye of our discerning visitors.

Bioclimatic architecture, natural stone, delightfully shaded sitting areas, Mediterranean palm trees and pleasantly whitewashed surfaces add to the overall island feel. A touch of natural pinewood beams and reeds in our outdoor spaces coupled with American oak indoors, enhances the natural vibe. Breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and its famous sunsets provide a wondrous backdrop to the property.
Adama is surrounded by open space, positioned away from built-up urban areas, yet within easy reach to Mykonos town center (2.8km/1.74mi), nightspots, beaches and the Airport (0.5km/0.3mi). Must-see attractions such as Scorpios Restaurant (3.2km/2mi), Nammos Restaurant (2.8km/1.74mi), Jackie O’ (4km/2.5mi) and many other sophisticated establishments are just a short ride away.

Adama Philosophy
About Us

“A warm welcome from the owners”
Adama (Greek: Αντάμα <ἐν τῷ ἅμα) means coming together in Greek and represents all that we stand for in this gorgeously peaceful environment. The word Adama resonates with us very much because the island has kept our family together over generations, and our property is the result of our continued “togetherness” as brother and sister who own this land and its gorgeous newly built hotel.

Our hotel was built on our grandparents’ family farm, with some of the property’s historic elements still standing proud. The abandoned stable from the 1930s has been transformed into a modern kitchen that produces sumptuous island dishes, and the historic water well in the property – originally dug to mark our family’s ownership of the land – has been integrated as a design feature of our hotel.

We’ve also revived local architectural elements hailing from traditional wisdom, such as the use of bamboo roofing, an inviting pergola and smartly shadowed corners, designed to beat the midday sun, cocktails in hand. Mediterranean palm trees, scented oleander, mimosas, flowering plants and plenty of local herbs such as thyme and oregano add the final touch to maintain a more authentic Greek island landscape.

In this holistic spirit of togetherness, we invite you to come visit us so we can pamper you and help you embrace the finer, simpler and happier side of life, in the same way that our family has done for generations on Mykonos.

Yours truly,
Yorgos and Semina
